Professional Engineer's Pledge

As a professional engineer, I solemnly pledge to:

dedicate my service to the development of society;

act with prime regard to public safety and interests;

practise my profession with conscience and dignity;

uphold the standing and reputation of the profession;

discharge my duties to my clients with complete fidelity;

respect and cooperate with all fellow professional engineers;

exercise due diligence; comply with laws and regulations;

adhere to the code of professional conduct;

strive for the efficient and economic use of natural resources;

minimise the impact of engineering works on the environment;

and constantly strive to upgrade my skills and knowledge.

I make these promises solemnly, freely and upon my honour.
